What's going on in Dallas?


Cooper Flagg hasn’t been in the league long, but he's vocal about the struggles in Dallas.

After another loss, Flagg said straight up that he hates losing. Not in a dramatic way. He's been hooping, but he hasn't been rewarded for it in the win column.

He's had four straight 30-point games. Carrying stretches of the offense, but Dallas keeps losing, and that wears on you fast.

Flagg doesn’t sound like someone who plans on waiting around. He wants the team to win and put some effort in. The same effort he's been putting in. However, with recent trades, it may not look bright at the end of the season.

The Mavericks chose the long-term route when they traded Anthony Davis (which was needed). It gives the Mavs some picks, flexibility, and patience. That’s fine. But patience only works if Flagg believes in it. 

Right now, Cooper Flagg doesn’t sound interested in moral victories. He wants real ones. That's what I'm afraid of, once the contract is up, Flagg is gone for a winning team, but who knows.

On the other side, if he has the patience, he's exactly who you want leading your rebuild.

January 30th, 2026 What Happened to Shortstop Television? Stepping away from Shortstop was kind of a hard decision, but it was a necessary one. Over the past few months, my schedule just gotten heavier with school and work. My priorities had to shift. Between classes, assignments, and just figuring things out, I didn’t want to force content. I always had ideas for SSTV, but I couldn't execute because I didn't have the time. The ideas just stayed in the background. I was still thinking about videos, blogs, and directions I wanted Shortstop to go, even if I wasn’t posting.  I’m bringing Shortstop Television back in a way that makes sense to me lol. It won’t be on a strict schedule, and it won’t be constant, but it will be intentional. The focus moving forward is on blogs and projects. I think about when I can get to it.
